Throughout the Christmas services we invited our congregations to contribute to charitable work with children through their giving at our services. This year the Christmas giving came to £1,189
I’m afraid that this year we didn’t have a volunteer to co-ordinate the Reverse Advent appeal and sadly decided not to go ahead. So instead we would like to encourage people to support the Gatehouse Christmas Appeal.
The St Lawrence Christmas Fayre taking place on Dec 1st 10-2pm at St Peter & St Paul Church Hall has nominated North Hinksey and Botley Primary Schools as two of the charities it wants to support this year.
After Christmas we will be starting baptism and confirmation groups for adults and young people. These groups are to help you explore more about what it means to be a Christian, usually joining others who are exploring faith as well.
St Lawrence has announced it will ring its bells at 12.30 pm following the Sunday Service & Act of Remembrance in the church at 11.30am. It will join hundreds of other churches who will also ring their bells to commemorate an important moment in history.
Today we are opening up St Peter & St Paul to everyone interested in weddings. If you're thinking about getting married in church Revd. Clare will be on hand to talk about how you go about it. We're also excited to be launching our own Weddings Guide!

This year the churches in North Hinksey will donate their collections to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institiution which has seen a 66% increase in calls for help from farming families due to the hot weather in July affecting their main harvests.
Earlier in the year St Frideswide trialled a monthly afternoon service for young children and their parents and carers.
